What's the deal with relatively well-known actors being in commercials lately? I just saw a commercial for yogurt that had Lola Glaudini (Elle from Criminal Minds) in it earlier tonight. I mean...seriously?

And yesterday I saw some phone commercial with Alan Tudyk (Wash from Firefly).

I don't get it.

Fandom overlap is an entertaining thing. Like, when actors from one fandom show up in another for whatever reason.

Bry and I watched all of Firefly last weekend. Plus Serenity. This weekend we're plowing through Dead Like Me.

Kaylee from Firefly was in an ep of DLM. As a random goth chick. That was weird.

And JJ from Criminal Minds was in an ep of DLM. In which she met Mandy Patinkin's character. Which was highly entertaining. The real line was something like "Charlotte, this is Rube, my stepdad." My head said, "JJ, Gideon. Gideon, JJ." Also, it's weird to see JJ playing someone...vapid.
