uberniftacular: (CM: Reid thinky thoughts)
Written for the Matchmaker challenge at [livejournal.com profile] tvrealm, in which we had to invent a blind date for two characters who have never met. Also, a bonus graphic just because.

Title: Genius Blind Date
Fandoms: Criminal Minds, Numb3rs
Pairing: Charlie Eppes/Spencer Reid
Word count: 519
Rating: PG
Warnings: Characters probably OOC, fic ending kind of abruptly because I ran out of steam, atrociousness, unnecessary quoting of Alfred Kinsey
Summary: Don sets Charlie up on a blind date.
A/N: Well, now I know why Charlie/Reid fic doesn't exist on the internet. That would be because smart people are ridiculously hard to write.

I cannot believe I let you talk me into this )

Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.

And I'm adding commentary to some of these, just because.

All from me and [personal profile] language_escapes's CM kid!verse

In Which Hotch Moves In
--Half-finished. I hate writing dialogue, but chose to base an entire fic around a phone conversation. WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?
In Which JJ develops a fear of dogs
--This one kinda got absorbed into another fic, but I didn't delete it.
In Which Reid Has a Nightmare
In Which Rossi Attempts to Bind
--This is about the only one that seems to be going anywhere at the moment. By which I mean, I wrote a few sentences on it when I went home for Christmas.
In Which something happens with a title
--Yeah. I know. But I like the title idea, just don't know what sort of fic might go with it. (Incidentally, the title is pulling hope from your pocket)
In Which We See Five Birthday Presents that Weren't Expected
--One section of this turned into a full fic of its own. It's called All Hallows. I have one paragraph of #1, and #3-5 are just vague ideas.

If anyone was curious, I use this naming system because I don't keep my WIPs in a separate folder from completed projects, so this keeps them all together and easily findable, and then I change the file names when I finish the fic and have a title for it.

Okay, so. I just realized I've got other WIPs in other folders too. (I organize all the shit on my computer by fandom, as opposed to keeping all my writing in one place or anything)

Bones, Zack/Hodgins
untitled Zack fic
--This one is...a sentence and a half long.

Criminal Minds/Numb3rs
Reid Charlie fic
--3 sentences long. In a subfolder of my CM folder entitled "Other fic shit," to keep it separate from my main CM 'verse.

CSI:NY, all Danny/Flack
WIP - fight
WIP - MI part 2
--A sequel to a fic I wrote a LONG time ago. Mission: Impossible
WIP - poker

So. Bry and I are watching Dexter Season 2. And they brought in a profiler. Named Frank. Who just happens to be played by the dude who played the serial killer Frank in Criminal Minds. Funny how Frank in CM chopped up his victims, kinda like Dexter does.

Freaking weird.

And it's weird that he's a profiler. Like, really weird. o.O He was more believable as the jerkface FBI boss in Numb3rs than as a profiler in this. I dunno, it's just really strange to me that he's a profiler.

ETA: Holy Shit. Seska from Star Trek: Voyager. Is some random widow person on Dexter. What. The. Hell?

Okay, so. I'm hoping my fandom people might be able to help me out here.

Lately (over the past couple weeks or so), I've been seriously craving Numb3rs/Criminal Minds crossover fics. Specifically of the Reid/Charlie slash variety.

The problem, of course, being that none seems to exist.

Seriously, I found ONE fic (by [livejournal.com profile] emmademarais), and even that was supposed to be the beginning of a 7-8 part series that apparently never got finished.

And at this point, I have no idea where to look to try to find more. Or even if there are comms out there that I could go ask if they would know.

Any pointers?

Just a brief thing about the most recent entry of Numb3rs, because this was funny as hell and I felt the need to record it.
